Ribs in Coca-Cola sauce is an unusual yet incredibly tasty dish. The succulent rib meat is baked with the addition of a popular beverage, giving it a unique sweetness and a slight caramel note. Ribs served in this sauce are a great idea for dinner or a special occasion, guaranteeing rich and unique culinary experiences.

INGREDIENTS

Glaze:

  • 250 g cranberries
  • 250 ml Coca-Cola
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar

RECIPE

  1. Clean the ribs of the silver skin*.
  2. Then generously sprinkle the ribs with Magic Dust seasoning.
  3. Preheat the smokehouse to 120°C.
  4. Place the ribs in the roasting pan on the rack, pour apple juice and water into the pan.
  5. Turn on the smoke generator and smoke for 2 hours. Baste the ribs with the juice from the pan every 30 minutes.
  6. After two hours, remove the ribs, wrap them in butcher paper, and place them back on the grate in the smokehouse for another 2 hours.
  7. Prepare the glaze by placing all ingredients, except the sugar, in a pot and bring to a boil while stirring. Once the glaze thickens, turn off the heat and season with sugar.
  8. Remove the ribs from the smokehouse, brush the top with the prepared glaze, and return them to the smokehouse without the paper for another 30 minutes until the glaze caramelizes.

* Slide a butter knife along the bone until it goes under the membrane. Lift the knife so that the membrane pulls away enough to grasp with your fingers. Now pull off the entire membrane in one motion.
